On Monday, 22 June 2015, at the premises of the Embassy of Serbia in Athens there was held a ceremony of delivering the Decorations of H.E. Mr. Tomislav Nikolić, President of the Republic of Serbia, to Mr. Mikis Theodorakis (gold medal) and Mrs. Liana Kanelli (silver medal) for their outstanding merits in public and cultural activities, as well as a gesture of deep appreciation for their support and friendship to Serbia and its people during one of the most difficult periods of Serbia's contemporary history.
